Our Meetings
The Center for Family Business offers two types of meetings to better service their members.
Presentation by Drew Mendoza
#1 Breakfast Seminar Series
The breakfast seminar series showcases nationally recognized experts in family business. Speakers cover practical strategies for success, challenges faced by entrepreneurial families, and best practices. All meetings are planned after a complimentary breakfast.
#2 Affinity Groups
The Center for Family Business has a number of Affinity Groups that meet regularly in small numbers to discuss topics important to the group. Members who participate in Affinity Groups remark that they gain priceless knowledge and great networking friendships.
Now Generation
CEO Group: This group acts as an informal “board of advisors” to each other on family business issues. It is facilitated by a rotating chair (member of the group) and is attended by representatives from The Center for Family Business and its corporate sponsors.
Next Generation
Emerging Leaders Group (EL) & Leaders Influencing Family-Business Traditions Group (LIFT): The groups are for the "younger generation" in a management position within their family business. The groups will give the participant the opportunity to share, learn, and grow with peers in the same situation. The members and facilitators of the groups determine discussion topics. Groups are expected to meet six times a year for two hours at Elizabethtown College.
Member-to-Member
A group of members who are interested in being a resource to other members on any number of topics including but not limited to management, strategic planning, family meetings, family policy manuals, public relations or crisis management, etc.
